If you would like to have dental implants, but don’t have enough bone in the jaw to support them, we may be able to overcome the problem with bone grafting.

What is a sinus lift?

A sinus lift is a bone grafting procedure that can enable dental implants to be placed in the jaw if the sinuses are too close to the jawbone.

The procedure involves lifting the sinuses away from the jawbone to create enough space for the bone implant to grow and support dental implants.

Our highly experienced dental surgeons are trained in this procedure which involves making a small incision in the jawbone. They can then access and lift the sinus membrane on to the other side of the incision. This creates space for the bone grafting materials.

Once the bone graft is completed, it will need to heal before dental implants are inserted.

An Internal Sinus Lift is another option for people with some bone, but not enough for a dental implant. This involves placing the bone graft under the sinus and inserting a dental implant at the same time.
